Lockheed The name Lockheed was introduced in 1926 by the brothers Allen and Malcolm Loughead for their aviation company. Over the years, Lockheed became a huge aviation company, and developed several innovative helicopters. With the CL-475 they developed a rigid rotorhead that was later used in other Lockheed designs. With the XH-51 model Lockheed introduced the concept of compound helicopters. The AH-56QA Cheyenne was a tandem, 2 seat attack helicopter.
