The Hummingbird is produced by Vertical Aviation Technologies, which started life as an FAA repair facility for various Sikorsky models. The company started modifying the Sikorsky S-52-3 in 1984, transforming it into the kit build Hummingbird 260L. It was introduced to the market in 1991.
