Innovative design by a Japanese company. Co-axial rotor system driven by 4 small engines. Using a fixed pitch rotor system, the aircraft is controlled by tilting the complete rotor system. Because of the fixed pitch, autoration is not possible but the GEN H-4 can fly with 1 of its engines off. Yaw control is achieved by changing the relative speed between counter rotating blades. Ballistic parachute provided above the mast (option).
The GEN Corporation no longer sells single kits to individuals due to a lack of dealerships outside Japan. At the time of writing (2013), it is looking for both dealers elsewhere and investors in order to start production.
