Helicopter Pilot Training
To become a helicopter pilot you must complete a 3 stage process. Firstly, you need to pass a medical check;
secondly there is a theoretical test, and thirdly comes flying practice itself. When choosing your training
centre there are a few things you have to consider.
- The cost of flight training differs a lot between countries. This is worth thinking about.
- Look for a flight school that is flying a type of helicopter that meets your needs.
- Assess your flight instructors’ ability to teach you. Make a change if necessary.
- Flight schools differ in atmosphere and approach.
- Not all flight schools own enough helicopters to enable you to practice at times that suit you.
- Only take lessons at flight schools with high safety standards.
- Prepare yourself for every single flight lesson. It will save you money.
